The GeekJabber IRC server does work with the MIRC IRC client. However, it is a little bit quirkier to set up.
When you first launch MIRC, you will need to click on the little hamburger icon next to the server name and click Add. The following settings will need to be used:
- Description: GeekJabber
- Server Name: irc.geekjabber.com
- Port: +6667 (note the + is important!)
- Tick Use global private certificate
If it looks like the following, you should be good to go, at which point you can click on OK and then connect. Remember once you’re connected to /join #geekjabber.
