Crytek, developers of the Crysis series of games, have announced that the Crysis Relaunched Trilogy will be launched on October 15 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5, Xbox One and Playstation 4. A separate launch is planned for the Nintendo Switch.
It is anticipated that the “but will it run Crysis?” meme will resurface shortly after on October 16.
Crytek have promised that the games will be optimised and enhanced for the next-generation consoles, allowing frame rates up to 60fps at either 1080p or 4K resolutions. There are also lighting and visual enhancements and new high-definition textures planned.
While the full game has been promised for the launch date, a version of Crisys Remastered which contains the single-player campaign from the original game is already available to buy for all supported platforms.
The games will be released via the Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store and Playstation Store for $US49.99.
