Australian start-up Layer has recently launched a dedicated digital licensing marketplace.
Layer is designed as a matchmaking platform between IP holders seeking to license their content to the games industry and developers seeking access to this content. The platform is designed to simplify the process of finding the right property and making the required agreements.
The idea came after one of the company’s founders found the existing processes to be far too complex for one of their previous projects. Their goal was to democratise IP licensing by streamlining and simplifying the process.
